Keith and Dawn Lewis
Having grown up in a Christian family and having made a profession of faith at age 5, Keith didn't have confident assurance of a personal relationship with Jesus until the fall of 1997. That September, during a Wednesday night evangelistic service, Keith recognized that Jesus had indeed accomplished everything necessary to rescue him from sin and restore him to God, and he simply trusted in Jesus to save him. Simultaneous with that decision was a driving passion to serve Christ in local church pastoral ministry. Keith has completed both his Bachelors (2006) and Masters (2008) degrees in Bible. During his schooling, Keith counseled for a summer at a Christian camp, participated in three local church summer internships, and served as a residence hall counselor for two years. Since then, he served as the Assistant to the Pastor at a church in Kansas City, Missouri and as the Guest Relations Supervisor and Academy Bible/Chapel Coordinator at Maranatha Baptist Bible College (Watertown, Wisconsin).
Dawn trusted Christ as her Savior at age 12, after the familiar truths of the gift of salvation from John 3:16 were freshly understood. Her family moved to Heidelberg, Germany in 1994 where they have since served as missionaries to the German people. Dawn has a B.S. in Music Education and an M.A. in Biblical Counseling. Throughout college, she spent her summers serving at various Christian camps, and her two years of grad school included working as the Academy girls supervisor. She met Keith during her first year of grad school, and they were married in May 2009.
Keith and Dawn are burdened to magnify God's reputation by encouraging a passionate relationship with Jesus among His church through a daily focus on the gospel.
